According to reports, desperate Mumbai Indians have now called back their seasoned pacer Dhawal Kulkarni for the remainder of the season. The team’s pacers have been frustrated with poor performances by their speedsters. The team’s quest for the first 2 points this season is still on after playing 8 matches. Although the team has no chances of qualifying, they’d still want to win a couple of games to boost the squad’s confidence. Dhawal Kulkarni would join the training session in the MI camp soon. Depending upon his performance in the training, his experience might come in handy for the team. Earlier, Dhawal was seen in the commentary panel for IPL 2022 as he went unsold in the IPL Mega Auction 2022. However, he is nowhere to be found in the commentary panel in the past few days.
The right-arm pacer has reportedly joined the team bio-bubble. MI’s pace-lead Jasprit Bumrah has been looking rather lackluster this season. Moreover, he isn’t getting any significant help from Jaydev Unadkat, Basil Thampi, Tymal Mills, and Daniel Sams. Their batting hasn’t looked strong either. The 33-year-old has made his appearance in 92 IPL matches picking 86 wickets. His experience can benefit the otherwise struggling Mumbai Indians. In addition, he is one of the most consistent pacers for the Mumbai side. In Ranji and other Trophies, the team has relied highly on him. Dhawal Kulkarni has never disappointed. He has also shown considerably good performance in 12 ODIs that he played for India.
