India-Australia to play 5 match Test series after 30 years

Australia, England, and India will play five-match Test series in the third and fourth World Test Championships. Additionally, there are 19 two-match series and five three-match series in each of the two WTC cycles. These will run from 2023 to 2025 and 2025 to 2027. For the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, India will visit Australia in the 2023-25 WTC cycle. While a reciprocal tour is slated to be held in the 2025-27 edition. It will be the first time in over 30 years that the two will clash in a five-match Test series. This happened the last time in 1992.

Five significant ICC tournaments are also included in the future cycle of the FTP, beginning with the Cricket World Cup in India in 2019. The T20 World Cup will be held in 2024 in the West Indies and the United States, and it will be followed by the Champions Trophy’s return in 2025, which Pakistan will host. The T20 World Cup will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka in 2026, while the Cricket World Cup in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia in 2027 will wrap up the FTP cycle.
