Dewald Brevis smashes records with 162 off 57 balls in CSA T20 Challenge, leaves idol AB de Villiers stunned

Baby AB scored a 35-ball century to achieve an individual score of 162 runs.

Proteas cricket prodigy Dewald Brevis has been smashing records ever since he got fame in the U-19 World Cup earlier this year. In the ongoing CSA T20 Challenge, Dewald Brevis scored 162 off 57 balls, smashing a 35-ball century and making heads turn. In the match versus the Knights, the Titans star was unstoppable. He has shown his ability to hit lofty shots earlier as well, in IPL for Mumbai Indians as well as in U-19 tournaments. this made him in demand in all T20 League auctions. With this amazing inning, he helped the Titans break the record for the highest domestic score in the shortest format of the game. Titans won the match by 41 runs.

To score the mammoth 162 runs, Brevis smashed the ball outside the rope 13 times in a six and 13 times in a four. He was very close to breaking Chris Gayle’s record of scoring the highest in T20 cricket and needed another 14 runs. However, he was tricked and Patrick Kruger made no mistake.
