He has been a hot topic in the cricketing world for the past few days. Every analyst and expert has at least given one statement regarding this great. Yes, we are talking about the Former Indian Skipper Virat Kohli. Kohli has been struggling with his form for quite some time now. He scored his last century in November 2019, scoring 139 against Bangladesh at the Eden Gardens. With some former cricketers criticising Virat some have heaped huge praises for him. Joining the second lot is Australian pace king Brett Lee.
Former Australian fast bowler Brett Lee has recalled a special incident featuring Virat Kohli and his son, Preston Lee. Lee revealed that when he told Kohli during a Test match that he was his sonโs favourite cricketer Indiaโs batting star presented him with his shirt. The former speedster said that this moment will live with him forever.
Kohliโs shirt is still hanging up in Lee’s son Prestonโs room
Brett Lee said on his YouTube channel:
โOne special moment that will stay with me forever was when India was playing a Test match in India. I was commentating on the field and I saw Kohli out in the middle. We were talking, laughing, and sharing moments about the times we have played against each other.โ
โI said ‘my son Preston thinks you are the best thing in slice, already loves you and you’re his favorite player’. He was like, really?โ
Further recalling that day, the commentator said.
Lee signed off by saying:
โI said, yeah he loves your cover drive. After the Test match finished, I was presented with a Test shirt: VK captain and Kohli had signed an address to Preston. To this day, the shirt hangs up in his room.โ
Notably, Kohli is currently on the England tour, where the struggling batter missed the first ODI due to a minor groin injury, but he is likely to return for the second ODI to be played on July 14.
