Mohammed Shami becomes the Fastest Indian to take 150 wickets in ODI

Mohammed Shami breaks Ajit Agarkar's record of Fastest 150 ODI wickets.

Mohammed Shami became the fastest Indian bowler to pick 150 wickets in ODI. He achieved this feat on Tuesday 12 July against England in the 1st ODI at Kennington Oval, London.

Shami recorded figures of 3/31 from his 7 overs. The pacer had 148 wickets from 79 wickets before playing this game. 1st he dismissed Ben Stokes for a duck. It was the third duck of the England innings. Shami achieved the feat when he got the wicket of England’s Skipper Jos Buttler on a short ball. Later he got Overton bowled that ball kept low and hit the stumps.

Shami broke Ajit Agarkar’s record of picking 150 wickets in 97 innings. Shami achieved the feat in 80 innings and became the fastest Indian to pick 150 wickets in ODI. Even he became the joint-fastest with Afghanistan’s Spinner Rashid Khan.

Australia’s Pacer Mitchell Starc has achieved the feat in 77 innings which is the fastest ever. Pakistan’s spinner Saqlain Mushtaq has achieved it in 78 innings and he is 2nd fastest to grab 150 wickets in ODIs.

Bumrah, Shami cleans up England’s strong batting order

Jasprit Bumrah’s horrific spell cleaned up the English Top Order. Four batters were dismissed for a duck in yesterday’s England innings. Bumrah picked up wickets of Roy, Root, Bairstow, and Livingstone in his 1st spell. Mohammed Shami picked up the wicket of Ben Stokes. England was restricted for 26-5. They managed to score only 30 runs in the Mandatory Powerplay of 10 overs. Bumrah-Shami duo picked 9 wickets. Moeen Ali was dismissed by Pacer Prasidh Krishna.

England was restricted to 68-8. It was a fear for English Fans as they would be able to cross the total of 100 or not. Some fightback innings from David Willey, Brydon Carse, and Reece Topley ensured England passed the total of 100. England team was all out for the score of 110.

Rohit-Dhawan duo takes India 1-0 Up

Indian Openers Shikhar Dhawan and Captain Rohit Sharma chased down the target with 10 wickets to spare. It was the 1st time that India defeated England by 10 wickets in ODIs. It was a comprehensive victory for Team India. They lead 1-0 in the Royal London ODI Series.
