Just IN- Kuldeep Yadav and Ravi Bishnoi will join the Indian team against WI. According to the sources, Kuldeep Yadav would be returning to the Indian team, following knee surgery. The wrist-spinner was once a compulsory pick in the Indian team. However, since his injury, he has not been in great form. There is also some great news for Ravi Bishnoi as well. The young Rajasthan leg-spinner, Ravi Bishnoi will also be joining the Indian team for the white-ball series with West Indies. It will be the first time that Ravi Bishnoi is called to be a part of the Indian team. West Indies will be coming to India for a limited-overs series. The countries will be playing 3 ODIs as well as 3 T20Is in Ahmedabad and Kolkata respectively.
A BCCI official had told the PTI that skipper, Rohit Sharma will be leading India in the West Indies Tour of India 2022. In addition, he also informed that Ravi Bishnoi will be receiving his maiden call for Team India and that Kuldeep Yadav will be making a comeback. Virat Kohli will be a part of both the ODI and T20I squads. It is also learned that Bhuvneshwar Kumar will be retained in the ODI squad. However, his presence in the T20 squad is still under question. Reports also mention a comeback for the off-spinner Washington Sundar. The last match he had appeared in was held in March 2021.

Yadav had lost his much important place in team India. He had performed well in 2019. However, things have gone south for him since then. He has not been seen playing. In contrast, the selectors and team management is laying their trust and belief in him again. They feel he has what it takes to be on the team’s squad. And that his contributions can prove to be valuable for the team. Kuldeep Yadav was ruled out of IPL 2021 because of his knee injury. He underwent successful knee surgery in September. Kuldeep successfully got back to training in mid-December. Let’s hope Yadav can make the most out of this opportunity.
