Sebastian Haller is the next such name, with the French-Ivorian’s season being the true definition of a comeback story. From his cancer diagnosis earlier this season to returning and scoring surely the most important goal of this season against FCA, Haller has impressed at all walks of life.
Along with him, we’ve seen players like Karim Adeyemi and Donyell Malen finally find their feet while others like Julian Brandt continue to play the best football of their life. The same can be said for Marco Reus, who despite featuring as a substitute for the majority of the season, has provided Dortmund with the impetus they need time and again.
