Abhishek Bachchan is the owner of Jaipur Pink Panthers that represents Jaipur in the Pro Kabaddi League. Sanjeev Baliyan is the head coach of the team. The Panthers play their matches in the home ground situated in Sawai Mansingh Indoor Stadium.

Abhishek Bachchan is an Indian actor and film producer. He has a beautiful inside story that explains the name he has given to the team. In his younger days, he used to call his father, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan, ‘panther’. His daughter, Aradhya Bachchan’s favorite color is ‘pink’. He also met his beloved Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in ‘Jaipur’. This incorporated all his personal attachments and feelings that he added to the team while naming it!
Education
Abhishek attended Jamnabai Narsee School and Bombay Scottish School in Mumbai. In addition to that, he attended Modern School, Vasant Vihar, New Delhi. He also attended Aiglon College in Switzerland. Later on, he attended Boston University but did not obtain any degree from there. After that, he subsequently moved on to Bollywood.
Work, Career debut, setback and resurgence
Abhishek Bachchan started his career with a war drama Refugee. He received positive reviews for his performance in his debut movie. He was termed as an actor who “has all it takes to emerge a competent actor in years to come.”
Over the years, he did many films such as Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon (2003), Yuva (2004), Dhoom (2004), Sarkar, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006), etc. In the year 2007, he received much critical acclaim for his film Guru.
He faced a major setback in his career with five films that failed commercially. These films were the Raavan (2010), the social drama Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey (2010), action thrillers Game (2011), Dum Maaro Dum (2011) & the heist thriller Players (2012). His next film Bol Bachchan was a major blockbuster at the box office despite receiving mixed reviews from critics.
Currently, he has released a few series on the OTT platform- Ludo, Breathe- into the Shadows and The Big Bull. All of them have been a major success and he has received a lot of appreciation from the critics as well as the audience.
Kabaddi team is his first step into the sports venture. With being an awesome actor and producer he is now also the owner of Jaipur Pink Panthers.
