Swiss-Italian outfit, Alfa Romeo has decided that it will not have an official Team Principal for the 2024 Formula 1 season.
A Bold Decision
In a rare sequence of events, Alfa Romeo has decided against having an official Team Principal for the 2024 Formula 1 season. With this move, Alfa Romeo would be the only team on the grid without a Team Principal.
It has instead conferred the title and duties of a ‘Team Representative’ upon Alessandro Alunni Bravi. Bravi is already the Managing Director of the Sauber Group. He is set to represent the racing outfit in all official functions on the track and off it.
It was revealed that Bravi would “work together with the technical and operational departments to continue the team’s growth and success.”
Alfa Romeo is run and operated by Sauber since 2017 when the parties signed a multi-year technical and commercial partnership.

Bravi Believes In A Successful Future
Bravi stated, “I want to thank Andreas [Seidl] and our shareholders for their trust, and I want to reiterate my commitment to giving my best to live up to their expectations and represent the team in the best possible way.
“It is a huge privilege to keep working with a group of incredible people who, over many years, have helped me integrate within the Sauber Group: what they gave me in this time will enable me to fulfil this task and represent the team according to our shared vision and our objectives. I am fully conscious of the work we have ahead of us and of the challenges that face us: I approach this task with humility, knowing I am part of a strong team that will get the job done, and with the belief we have everything we need for a successful future.”
