Adil Rashid came to IPL 2024 mini-auction following his spectacular performance in the T20 World Cup 2022. Following his form, the leg-spinner put his base price at 2 crores. The move proved clever, as even without a bidding war, Rashid managed to clutch a good amount in the auction. Previously, Rashid played for Punjab Kings in IPL 2021, however, playing only a single match. Subsequently, Rashid missed the 15th edition of the league, opting out of IPL 2022.
