With the year coming to an end, BCCI has shifted its focus on the upcoming season of IPL. The 16th edition of the tremendously-followed cricket league will commence in March 2024. Moreover, the new season will go on for more than a couple of months as BCCI has sorted the permission to increase the IPL window. Meanwhile, the mini-auction for IPL 2024 has reached its commencement. Scheduled on the 23rd of December in Kochi, the mini-auction, in turn, will bid some big names among the ten IPL teams.
Respective teams turned in their retention list for the season on the 15th of November. The list, in turn, turned out quite shocking with some ace players bidding adieu to the league. Long-time Mumbai Indians loyal, Kieron Pollard retired from the league as the team released him. Similarly, star CSK player, Dwayne Bravo also turned in his retirement as the team moved on without him. Moreover, Sunrisers Hyderabad released most of their refined players including their captain Kane Williamson.

Expected Stars of IPL 2024 Mini-Auction
The mini-auction will see many big names finding a new home in IPL. While some like Kane Williamson have been released by their respective teams. Others like Sam Curran are joining the IPL after a hiatus. Moreover, dynamic names like Cameron Green and Joe Root are coming to the biggest cricket league for the first time ever. The total slots left in the squads cumulatively are 87 as some teams head to the mini-auction to revive their squad. Moreover, some teams are on the hunt for a new leading face, hence, fated to bid on big names in the auction. The likes of skilled all-rounders like Ben Stokes and Sam Curran are likely to be the highest bids of the season.
