Time for battle between two fierce Indian batters. The 39th match of IPL 2021, scheduled at Dubai International Stadium was between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Both the teams have lost all their matches in UAE. So let’s have a glimpse of their performances. RCB performed fairly well and put 166 runs on the board. This score would have been bigger if the lower middle order also had contributed. But the score was enough as the RCB players outshone MI. MI vs RCB Man of the Match: One of the all rounders also got the Man of the Match award for his brilliant efforts overall.

To begin with, MI won the toss and chose to bowl first. Although Devdutt Padikkal lost his wicket early, Virat along with Srikar Bharat and Maxwell maintained the balance. Virat smashed 51 off 42 and completed his 10000 runs in the T20 format. He became the first Indian batter to do so. Maxwell also mustered the bowlers and scored 56 off 37. However the middle order collapsed as the team went from 160 for 3 to 162 for 6. As a result MI managed to restrict RCB to 166.

In the second innings, MI had a great start as the openers built a decent partnership of 57 runs in 6 overs. Rohit scored 43 off 28 to lead the team. However the middle order’s performance was a huge bummer for the team. MI tumbled to 110 all out from 79 for 2. RCB bowlers did a really great job and made batting for MI quite rough. Harshal Patel also clinched a hat trick in the match, first in this season. As a result RCB registered their 1st win in UAE by defeating Mumbai Indians.

The ace Australian all-rounder bagged the Man of the Match award for his glorious performance. Glenn Maxwell dismissed Rohit Sharma and Krunal Pandya, conceding only 23 runs in 4 overs. He also smashed a gutsy knock of 56 off 37 at a strike rate of 151.
