West Ham United are looking forward to bring back the Manchester United star Jesse Lingard in the upcoming summer transfer window. The England international is really liked by David Moyes [West ham coach] and also by the West Ham supporters, hence he has been a target for them for a long time. They really got serious about signing Lingard permanently after his successive 6 months loan spell with them last season. He played a critical role in West Ham’s journey to qualify for the Europa League after they just missed out on the Champions League at the end of the season. His stats were outrageous during his spell as he scored 14 goals in just 16 appearances.

But since he returned to Manchester United, Lingard has often been on the bench and has been frustrated for game time throughout the season. He tried to make his move permanent to West Ham last summer but Manchester United held onto him after Solskjaer promised that the midfielder would get minutes. Anyway that did not happen, so Lingard again tried to depart in Januray but when Ragnick arrived, he was promised again that he would get minutes. That did not work out too so now Lingard’s contract is going to expire this June which makes West Ham the leading candidate to acquire Lingard’s signature.
With Lingard to be available on a free transfer this summer, there are a number of clubs reportedly interested in signing him. Linagrd likes the idea of joining either Arsenal or West Ham but David Moyes belives that his good connection with the club that he had previously would likely make them the favourites. All in all, the ball is in Lingard’s court and now it’s upto him but whichever team he decides to join, that team would benefit massively.
