Delhi Capitals have roped in Biju George as their fielding coach for IPL 2022. Biju George is the former fielding coach of the Indian women’s team and Indian men’s U-19 team. He has prior experience of coaching an IPL franchise as well. In 2020, he was associated with the Sunrisers Hyderabad as their fielding coach. George will replace Mohammad Kaif in the Capitals’ coaching setup. The former Indian cricketer had a long relationship with the Delhi franchise but in 2022, the two decided to part ways.
Delhi Capitals appoint Biju George as their fielding coach
Biju George will join the likes of Ricky Ponting, Shane Watson, and Ajit Agarkar at Delhi Capitals. DC’s coaching staff also consists of Pravin Amre and James Hopes. Apart from George, Watson and Agarkar are DC’s two new recruits for IPL 2022. Both Watson and Agarkar will play the role of Assistant Coach for the Rishabh Pant-led team.

Delhi Capitals begin their campaign with their clash against Mumbai Indians on the 27th of March. The match will start at 15:30 IST and will be played at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. DC have been placed in Group A along with MI, KKR, LSG, and RR. Apart from the teams in Group A, the Capitals will play Punjab Kings according to the format of the season.
Defending champions, CSK, and the runners-up from last season, KKR, will begin the proceeding for IPL 15 at the Wankhede Stadium on March 26. The match will be an evening affair which starts at 19:30 IST. A total of 70 league matches will be played this season. All of them will be played in Maharashtra till May 22.
