The former World No. one, Ashleigh Barty announced a shocking retirement in March just at the age of 25. The three-time Grand Slam champion happily retired from her professional career as World No. 1. However, questions have continued to be asked to the former tennis player. She once stepped back from professional tennis in 2014, then she again returned back very soon.

When asked about returning back to tennis, she did not answer as early as 2014. She was also an Olympic mixed doubles bronze medallist in Beijing 2022.

Ashleigh was never dissatisfied with her decision of retiring from one of her favourite sports, tennis. She is not only fond of tennis but the 26-year-old is pretty similarly good at golf. Barty has been seen playing golf tournaments after her retirement. Not just golf, Ashleigh is also enthusiastic about cricket as being an Australian one can be.
Former World No. one enjoying her life other than tennis
“For me at the moment, I’m loving being off the court and transitioning into this new life – that’s not a new life, it’s just a different one,” Ashleigh said. Barty recently married her long-term boyfriend to start a new chapter of her life other than her professional life.
The young Australian is wholly satisfied with her achievements in tennis and what she could have been asked for in such a limited career period.
“It’s just been everything that I’ve probably ever expected. It was a transition that I probably found quite easy and that was a reiteration and reassurance for me that it was the right time.” Ashleigh Barty assures her not to come back to tennis and continue with her happy retirement.
