Former World Number one Angelique Kerber announced the birth of her first child via a social media post. She named the baby girl Liana, sharing that the experience was the “most beautiful and overwhelming one“.
Kerber took to her social media accounts to share the news on Tuesday. “Welcome to our family, Liana *25.02.2023. Having you with us is the most beautiful & overwhelming feeling we could have ever imagined,” Angelique Kerber wrote on Instagram. Baby Liana was born on Saturday, February 25. In August last year, Kerber announced the news of her pregnancy via a Twitter post. She cheekily wrote that two against one won’t be a fair competition.

The three-time Grand Slam champion last played at the 2022 Wimbledon Championships where she lost in the third round.
