“I value comfort and simplicity in my everyday life,” Iga Swiatek shares thoughts on relationship with Rolex watch

The Pole was also asked about her first Grand Slam victory at a very young age and how that win affected her.

Iga Swiatek prefers comfort and simplicity in life, and that is the reason why she likes her Rolex watch very much. In February 2021, she became an ambassador of the Swiss watchmaker, and in a recent interview with Tennis Connected, the Pole talked in length about why she likes the Rolex Datejust. She feels the Rolex watches are small, simple, and elegant which fits her outfit quite well.

“I have a Datejust and I love it,” Swiatek said. “It’s elegant, quite small, and simple which is perfect because I value comfort and simplicity in my everyday life. I wear it almost all the time off the court. It became an important part of my non-sports outfits, which are simple with a touch of elegance.

“I first wore my Rolex during a fashion magazine photoshoot and I realized then that it fits and enhances every outfit, adding a distinct element of elegance and character,” she added. Also Read: Breaking: Andy Murray Withdraws From French Open 2024

Iga Swiatek says her first Grand Slam triumph made her hungrier for more

Iga Swaitek won her first Grand Slam at a very young age. The Pole was 19 when she lifted her first cup, at the 2020 French Open. That triumph motivated her to win more trophies instead of getting complacent. She later won the the 2022 French Open and the 2022 US Open.

In a Q &A session with Rolex Testimonee, Pole was asked about her first Grand Slam victory at a very young age and how that win affected her. The 21-year-old said that the triumph was a quick course of maturity for her and that everything changed that day.

Swiatek claimed that winning a big tournament at a young age makes it more difficult to win again due to the added pressure and expectations from others, from society, and also from herself.

Swiatek, a three-time Grand Slam champion then said: “Most players have the sole goal of winning a big tournament like a Grand Slam. I achieved this early in my career which only made me even more hungrier to win more. This feeling is something I try to deal with and use as motivation,” she added.

And on her biggest inspiration, Swiatek said her sister Agata and tennis legend Rafael Nadal have inspired her throughout her life. She hailed Nadal for his game as well as for his attitude in everyday life. “He is just a normal guy who likes people, he’s very kind and this great success hasn’t changed him,” Swiatek added.
