2022 French Open finalist Casper Ruud will take on 2021 Wimbledon runner-up Matteo Berrettini in the quarterfinals of the 2022 US Open on Tuesday.
With victories over Kyle Edmund, Tim van Rijthoven, and Tommy Paul, Ruud qualified for a matchup with Corentin Moutet in the fourth round. The Norwegian won five games in a row to hand his opponent a breadstick in the first set, which he completely controlled. In the third set, the World No. 7 was up 4-2 and nearly winning.
