Matthew has scored 56 assists, 19 shy of the first position. The record is held by veteran Jonathan Huberdeau, who scored 85 assists in 80 games in 2021-22. Although, Matthew can overtake Aleksander Barkov’s 61 (in 2018-19) and Huberdeau’s 62 (in 2018-19) if continues the same form.

Matthew Tkachuk is also on track to beat Alex Ovechkin’s record of 31 MPGs in their first season for a team. He is currently tied with Artemi Panarin in the third position. Tkachuk came to Panthers from Calgary Flames on July 22, 2022. Florida traded star Jonathan Huberdeau, Mackenzie Weegar, and Cole Schwindt and a lottery-protected first-round pick in 2025 for Tkachuk in 2022.

Matthew Tkachuk signed an eight-year contract valued at $76 million dollar prior to joining the Panthers. Undoubtedly, Tkachuk has been an absolute teaspoon of magic to the Panthers.

The Panthers are currently fourth in the Atlantic Division, trailing the Lightning by 10 points. They are ninth overall in the Eastern Conference. With a couple more games left in the season, The Panthers have a great chance to qualify for the Play-Offs.
