The Milwaukee Bucks have been on a grove lately, winning 13 straight games heading into their matchup against the Phoenix Suns on Saturday. This is their longest winning streak since the very 2019-20 season when they got to win 18 games in a row. The Bucks have been playing excellent basketball on both ends of the court. And following their performance in the past and recent games it is not far for them to be the dominant obstacle in the coming playoffs.
Meanwhile, the Greek star of the Milwaukee Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo missed most of the games this season due to his sour knee. His team is far from giving up, one can say they are holding fine without Giannis but the fact is they are actually killing it without their superstar. Though he’s been out of the game for some time he was still given to play in the matchup against the Miami Heat and was left with a right knee injury once again. Despite his much action this season, he has been still averaging 31.8 points, 12.4 rebounds, and 5.4 assists per game. Brook Lopez has been a pivotal addition to the team this season, providing the Bucks with a solid center and defender.
The win against the Miami Heat on Friday night brought the Bucks closer to their franchise record of 20 straight wins. The Bucks after their own record of 20 straight wins
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Oscar Robertson led the team that set the record of 20 straight wins back in the 1970-71 NBA season. Following the extreme importance of this record the Bucks team has the talent and depth to challenge the new. But they must maintain their focus and intensity on both ends of the court to gain this title.
The Bucks’ ongoing success has helped them stay within the top five of the Eastern Conference standings with the Boston Celtics leading the chart. The Celtics have 43 wins while the Bucks have 42, and the standings separate the two teams by just one game. To secure the first position on the Eastern Conference standings the Bucks would need to continue their winning streak gradually moving upwards and leading the chart.
