The past few weeks in European football have witnessed several managers leaving their clubs. Jurgen Klopp announced leaving Liverpool, and Xavi announced leaving Barcelona at the end of the season. On the other hand, Roma fired Jose Mourinho.
While Klopp and Xavi are yet to announce their futures, Mourino wants to join his former team. He is waiting for a call from Manchester United, as he has unfinished business with them.
As per Fabrizio Romano,
“Jose Mourinho wants to return to Manchester United! He believes he has unfinished business and is willing to work under the new regime. He is waiting for a call from United.”

Will Manchester United call Jose Mourinho back?
Mourinho was part of Manchester United for two seasons (2016–2018). But during the second, he was fired during mid-season, despite winning three titles in his first with them.
He guided United to win the 2016-17 EFL Cup, the 2016–17 FA Community Shield, and the 2016–27 UEFA Europa League. Moreover, he was guiding the team to the 2017–2018 Premier League title but was fired.
Mourinho will be aiming to bring back champion status to Manchester United by leading them to the Premier League and Champions League titles.
United is currently struggling and standing in the middle of the points table. They have failed to keep their winning momentum, and several questions are asked about Erik ten Hag’s coaching. If the club fails miserably in the 2024-24 season, we might see Mourinho back in the United colors.
Will United call back Mourinho? Only time will let us know. Till then, let us look at Jose Mourinho’s stats and records with Manchester United.
