Manchester City and England winger Raheem Sterling has signed a five-year contract with London club Chelsea. The deal is reported to be worth £47.5 million, with medicals completed on Sunday, as per Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Sterling would provide Tuchel with a reliable threat, tactical versatility, and experience. He has directly contributed to a total 165 goals in the league in 320 games for Liverpool and City. This is the first signing of Ted Boehly’s tenure as owner, who took over after ex-owner Roman Abramovic had his assets seized by the British government.

Raheem Sterling’s Career So Far
Sterling first joined the academy of London club Queens Park Rangers at the age of 10 as a winger.
In February 2010, he signed with the academy of Liverpool aged 16, for an initial deal of £450,000 by then-manager Rafael Benitez. His debut appearance for the Mersyside club against Wigan Athletic in March 2012, making him the third-youngest debutant in the history of Liverpool. He scored his first goal for the Reds against Reading in a 1-0 win later that year, making him the second-youngest goalscorer for the club, only behind Michael Owen.
The English international maintained his strong performance throughout his tenure at Merseyride, which persuaded him to accept offers from teams searching for him throughout Europe in an effort to bring more success and trophies to his career, which Liverpool hadn’t done in a while. He had a lot of contract disputes with then-manager Brendan Rodgers, with whom he seemed to have a bitter relationship. He refused contract extensions, didn’t show up to multiple training sessions and missed matchdays due to illness.
