Since the Hero Indian Super League came into existence in 2014, there are at least eight players who have all played 100 matches. The latest person to join this list is Rahul Bheke. He has represented top teams like Mumbai City FC, Bengaluru FC, Kerela Blasters, and FC Pune City. Not only him, but there are a few other players who are all just around the corner and heading fast towards the milestone. Here is the list of the top 10 players with the most ISL appearances till date.

10.Tiri – 96 matches
He is the only foreign player on this list. Currently, he is playing for ATK Mohun Bagan. The Spanish defender has played previously for ATK and Jamshedpur FC. Tiri has scored 3 goals and 2 assists in the league so far.
9.Sandesh Jhingan -98 matches
He is probably the best Indian defender playing in the Hero ISL. Sandesh had previously played for Kerela Blasters and left them for ATK Mohun Bagan in 2020. But just after a single season with the Kolkata Giants, he signed for HNK Sibenik. Sandesh Jhingan is the first ever Indian to be signed by a Croatian team. He holds the record for the most appearances for the Kerela Blasters.

8.Rahul Bheke- 100 matches
The Mumbai-born defender joined Mumbai City FC ahead of this season. He has already scored 2 goals and provided one vital assist. Rahul Bheke has played previously for Bengaluru FC, where he won the Hero ISL title. He is the only Indian defender to score in the ISL’s final. A record of 12 goal contributions is only challenged by Mandar Rao Desai.
7.Amrinder Singh- 102 matches
The Punjab-born shot-stopper won the Golden Glove Award in 2016. He has made the most saves in ISL history. At a total of 290, averaging 2.8 saves per game. Currently, he is playing for ATK Mohun Bagan.

6. Sunil Chhetri – 102 matches
Often known as the Captain Fantastic, Sunil Chhetri had played previously for Mumbai City FC. He has scored 50 goals till now in Hero ISL. Undoubtedly he is one of the finest strikers of Indian Football .
5.Pritam Kotal- 104 matches
He is one of the best defenders in the Indian football circuit. I am currently playing for ATK Mohun Bagan. Pritam has played for several ISL teams. which includes FC Pune City, ATK and Delhi Dynamos. He is a right back but can also play as a centre back.
4.Harmanjot Khabra – 109 matches
The versatile player is fourth on the list who plays as a defender for Kerela Blasters. He has played for Bengaluru FC and Chennaiyin FC. This experienced player has fantastic heading ability. Prior to joining the Hero ISL, he was a member of Kolkata giants East Bengal in the I League.

3.Lenny Rodrigues- 112 matches
The 34-year-old midfielder is currently playing for ATK Mohun Bagan. He is an automatic choice for the team. His sublime ball control and passing ability are a treat to watch. Lenny has played for FC Pune City, FC Goa, and Bengaluru FC in the Hero ISL. He has scored four goals and provided two vital assists.
2. Narayan Das- 114 matches
The experienced Bengali left-back has represented teams like FC Goa, FC Pune City, Delhi Dynamos , Odisha FC and SC East Bengal . Though he is mainly a left back, but in the current season he is playing as a center back for Chennaiyin FC. Narayan Das has provided 7 assists till now.
1.Mandar Rao Desai – 120 matches
The 29 year old defender has only played for FC Goa and Mumbai City FC in ISL. He is the only player to have represented only a single team for 6 seasons. As an Indian player defender he has the highest number of assists . Mandar has scored 6 goals and provided 12 vital assists . The Goa based defender is the only player with most appearances in the Hero ISL.
