Liverpool considers Lavia for a midfield makeover.
Another rumored midfield target for Liverpool is Romeo Lavia. By signing World Cup champion Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton this week, the Reds will begin a long-needed improvement of their midfield. Liverpool is also said to have spoken with Khephren Thuram of Nice and Manu Kone of Borussia Monchengladbach. Lavia, a former Manchester City youth player, is reportedly another player on Jurgen Klopp’s radar after Southampton was demoted from the Premier League.
Phillips desires to remain at Man City.
Kalvin Phillips desires to stay at Manchester City and contend for a position. The midfielder feels he can play a bigger part under Pep Guardiola next season and has no desire to leave the club this summer. Newcastle is one among the teams interested in Phillips, although the former Leeds player has displeased the Magpies. The Wolves captain has made it known that he wants to compete in the Champions League and has in the past frequently been associated with Manchester United. Neves is lobbying for a trade that would send Ansu Fati in the opposite direction so that he may join Barcelona.
