Qatar has never qualified for any single FIFA World Cup since its independence in 1971. They have always been in a constant state for AFC Asian Cup but failed to meet the expectations in the final stage of the World Cup campaign which makes them the second country after Italy to play the FIFA World Cup without qualifying for it because they are the hoster. 

As this is the first time they are qualifying so they don’t have the history of FIFA but as becoming the host for the first time there were many criticisms that they encountered in the past months. The 2019 AFC Asian Cup was a triggering moment for Qatar and it shocked everyone when they lifted the AFC Asian cup by defeating Japan in the final. The 2019 Copa America 2-2 draw against World Cup quarter-finalist Paraguay was an astounding performance by Qatar but was unable to maintain the same rhythm against Colombia and Argentina.

Tickets

This is the last-minute sales phase and the online phase is open. It will dash until the end of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 on 18th December. The purchasers have to buy tickets as soon as the phase opens as tickets will sell out quickly. The tickets will be handed out on a first came first-served basis and the process of purchase is a real-time transaction, subject to availability. Qatar is standing on the 1st position in the group A and the opponents are Ecuador, Senegal, Netherlands. This is the first time Qatar is playing FIFA world Cup so this will be a whole new experience for them and they might surprise other teams.
