Yashasvi Jaiswal smashes the fastest fifty of the IPL!

The young Rajasthan Royals batter, Yashavi Jaiswal has smashed a 13-ball fifty to record the fastest fifty in the history of the IPL. He achieved this feat against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens tonight! Jaiswal went hammer and tongs from the word go to notch up his fifty off just 13 balls, breaking the joint record held by Pat Cummins and KL Rahul who slammed 14-ball fifties.

Yashavi Jaiswal hammered his way to the fastest fifty, bettering the 14-ball recorded jointly held by Pat Cummins and KL Rahul. He came in to bat with RR chasing 150 runs in their 20 overs. He started the innings with a 26-run over off Nitish Rana’s bowling! Jaiswal thrashed every bowler in the KKR side. He encashed the powerplay and ensured a smooth chase for the team! The southpaw made headlines for smashing his maiden IPL hundred a couple of weeks ago! The Royals are 78/1 at the end of the powerplay needing 72 more runs to win!

Yashasvi Jaiswal has now amassed 530 runs this season which is most in an season by an uncapped Indian player. He has went past Kishan’s tally of 516 runs. Jaiswal is second behind Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Faf du Plessis (576 runs) in the highest run-getters list this season.
