Who Won Man Of The Match (MOM) In IND Vs WI 2nd ODI?
Prasidh Krishna’s performance today was extraordinarily brilliant. He took 4 wickets giving only 12 runs. Resultantly, Prasidh’s spell became the 3rd cheapest ODI 4-wicket haul by an Indian pacer. He brought India the first breakthrough, by picking Brandon King’s wicket early in the innings. In addition, his other victims were Darren Bravo, Nicholas Pooran, and Odean Smith. Prasidh also bowled 3 maiden overs in the 2nd ODI.
” I have been striving hard to do this for a long time. So, I am very happy that we won. I was still looking to hit the good areas. When I came in to bat, I knew it was still seaming. I would have laughed it off (If someone would have told him he would finish with the figures he ended with today). I had seen the wicket in the last game. Experimenting wasn’t possible as there was not much to defend. So, I stuck to good lines. I want to be as consistent as possible. The white ball cricket is a power game.”

First Innings
Rishabh Pant opened the inning with the skipper Rohit Sharma. However, India didn’t get a good start. India lost its first wicket at 2.6 overs. It was on Kemar Roach’s delivery that Rohit gave a catch to keeper Shai Hope. Just as we saw a partnership getting established between Pant and Virat, who was playing his 100th ODI in India. Rishabh Pant was caught by Jason Holder, scoring 18 off 34. In the same over, Kohli followed Rishabh to the pavilion, hitting 18 runs off 30 deliveries. Evidently, West Indies’ bowlers were dominating the first half.
KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav stabilized India a bit, they had a partnership of 91 runs. Both of them were playing really well. However, Kl Rahul seemed confused after calling for 2 runs and was run out at 49. He also said something to Surya, who wasn’t at blame here. SKY went on to score 64 off 83 balls, hitting 5 fours. Deepak Hooda played his cameo well, scoring 29, even Yuzi scored 11 runs. India scored 237 runs.
Second Innings
West Indies got a decent start. However, in the 8th and Prasidh’s first over, he managed to end Brandon King’s inning at 18. This was followed by another wicket, again by Prasidh, it being a maiden over too. The pressure Prasidh Krishna has made on WI was used by Yuzi as well, he picked Shai Hope’s wicket. Shai had scored 27 runs by then. Shardul Thakur picked Jason Holder’s wicket early. Otherwise, the great form Holder is in, could have been dangerous for India. However, Indies batsmen Shamarh Brooks and Akeal Hossein had established a partnership. Both of them were hitting skillful shots.
Deepak Hooda was given the ball by the skipper Rohit Sharma. Surprisingly, Hooda succeeded in tricking the established Brooks into playing a weak shot, leading the ball to be caught by SKY. Shamarh Brooks had scored 44 runs off 64 deliveries. Akeal Hosein was also sent back to the pavilion in the 40th over. However, Windies batting wasn’t done yet. Odean Smith and Alzarri Joseph took the match forward very calmly, playing no risky shots. But Rohit’s wise captaincy and Virat’s brilliant catch sent Odean Smith back, scoring 24 off 20 balls. Prasidh hammered the last nail in the coffin of West Indies’ hope of winning the series. West Indies was all out at 193.
