West Indies power hitter Vivian Richards had the reputation of destroying opponents with his destructive batting. He had been a driving force of one of the strongest West Indies sides in cricket history. He came out to bat with just a cap on. In addition, was known for his aggressive game which was a rare sight back in time. Vivian Richards has been conferred with the Order of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM). Moreover, he was honored with the prestigious award at the 43rd Conference of Heads of Government. The conference was held in Suriname. Cricket West Indies shared a post congratulating the 70-year-old veteran.
Richards also captained West Indies in 50 Tests. To date, he is the only WI captain to not lose a test series.
