The BCCI has organized a closing ceremony at 18:30 IST before the match commences. AR Rahman and Ranveer Singh are going to perform live in the ceremony. It is reported that PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah are going to attend the IPL 2022 Closing Ceremony. Moreover, ICC Officials have flown to attend the IPL Playoffs.

Since PM Modi is set to attend the event, the security has been increased significantly. Around 6000 security personnel are stationed to ensure adequate security.
