Virat Kohli smashes another record, charges INR 8.9 crores per Instagram post- Report

Due to his outstanding and pro active field presence and heaps of runs, former India captain Virat Kohli is the most popular cricketer on the social media network Instagram and one of the most popular sports figures. In the last two years, Kohli’s social media following has grown significantly, and he is now the only Indian with more than 200 million Instagram followers.

Kohli is followed by 50.4 million users on Twitter and more than 49 million users follow his Facebook page. His massive social media following has seen him make huge monetary gains and he has reportedly shattered earning records now. As per Hopperhq.com, Virat Kohli charges a humongous amount of $ 1,088,000, which is equivalent to Rs 8.9 crore (approx), per Instagram post. He is the only Indian in the top 20 list with actress Priyanka Chopra coming in at the 27th spot. Kohli is the only cricketer on the elite list.

The only star with more than 400 million Instagram followers is Cristiano Ronaldo, who comes in first place. He charges $2,397,000 (about Rs. 19 crore) for each position. In third place and charging $1,777,000 (about 14 crore rupees) each post is Lionel Messi. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, an actor and wrestler, is ranked fifth overall. The fourth place among sports personalities is held by Kohli. It should be mentioned that, in contrast to cricket, football is a global sport.
