Taniya Bhatia, the India wicketkeeper batter, has admitted that she was stolen of her belongings in the London hotel. This was the same hotel where the Girls in Blue were staying during their recent tour of England. Even though they fell short against the hosts in the T20I series, 1-2. They easily defeated them in the ODI series, 3-0.
The triumph in the last ODI at Lord’s also turned out to be great for veteran pacer Jhulan Goswami who made her final outing in a cricket match on the global stage. The Indian team gave her the ideal send-off in a game that caused quite a stir since Deepti Sharma mankaded Charlie Dean out at the non-striker’s end to secure the victory for her team.
Taniya Bhatia, who also flew to the UK with the team, tweeted on Twitter that someone had stolen her bag from her hotel room in London, which was a shocking development indeed.
