India defeated South Africa by 16 runs in the second Twenty20 International on Sunday at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati to take a winning 2-0 lead in the three-match series. David Miller played an outstanding inining and had a record-breaking 4th wicket partenership with Quinton de Kock.
KL Rahul was chosen as the Man of the Match for his outstanding inings to give India a flying start.

Earlier South Africa won the toss and Captain Temba Bavuma decided to chase. KL Rahul blasted a 28-ball 57, while Suryakumar Yadav scored 61 off 22 balls as India made a significant total of 237/3 in 20 overs. Virat Kohli smashed 49 runs off 28 balls in the mouth-watering first Inning.
The Second Inning was started strongly by the Indian bowlers as they put South Africa in a spot of bother. South Africa was trailing at 47 for 3 at the 6.2 overs mark. Then, David Miller and Quinton de Kock stitched a 174 run partnership and played outstandingly but could not take their team over the line. South Africa fell short by 16 runs of the Indian total.

David Miller Century and Partnership with de Kock
David miller stood and delivered an amazing century scoring 106 runs of just 47 balls. He struck 8 fours and 7 sixes ending his inning with a mammoth strike rate of 225.53.
Quinton de Kock who scored 69 of 48 balls with 3 fours and 4 sixes, had a slow start. But he did not give away his wicket and once he found his touch took o the Indian bowlers.
David Miller and Quinton de Kock not only put up a show but also put up a record-breaking partnership for 4th wicket.

Virat and Surya’s Record Partnership
In the first inings Virat and Surya also had a record breaking partenrship. Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav created a devastating partnership to dismantle South Africa’s bowling unit. According to run rate, the partnership was India’s quickest 100+ stand in the shortest format of the game, scoring an average of 14.57 runs per over.
