Renowned Indian Playback Singer Krishnakumar Kunnath popularly known as KK passed away in Kolkata last night. The 53-year-old was performing live at a college fest. However, he had fallen sick and later passed away. This untimely loss of a gem has shocked India. And condolences started to pour in from all quarters. The cricket fraternity also shared their heartfelt messages after singer KK’s death. Millions of KK fans and followers are left heartbroken. It is noteworthy that KK has ruled Indian music in the 2000s, the singer-actor duo of KK-Emraan Hashmi was very popular back in time.
The singer also shared images of himself performing on his social media handles. He captioned “Pulsating gig tonight at Nazrul Mancha, Vivekananda College!! Love you all”.
Krishnakumar Kunnath KK’s Cause of Death
KK was performing at Nazrul Manch in Kolkata on 31st May 2022. The live concert began at 5 PM. Reportedly, he had fallen unwell during the concert and complained of uneasiness. Fans have shared video clips from the concert, where KK was evidently breathless and sweaty. Later, he returned to the hotel in Esplanade. He complained of uneasiness and had fallen unconscious. Therefore, he was rushed to Calcutta Medical Research Institute at around 10:30 PM. However, all efforts went in vain as he was announced dead. Reports suggest that the cause of KK’s demise is a cardiac arrest. The autopsy reports are still awaited.
Those who were present at the concert, have shared shocking details. In addition, they claimed that the AC in the auditorium wasn’t working. Therefore, the humidity and temperature were not under proper control. In the May heat, with a large audience, such high humidity can lead to dehydration and heatstroke.
