The ongoing season of this IPL has already seen numerous batting masterclasses. At the pinnacle of them, however, has been one man, Jos Butler. Butler stormed his way to another IPL century vs KKR on Monday. The Englishman was in boisterous touch and brought up his second hundred of this season and third overall.
Ever since opening the batting for Rajasthan, Butler has been at the top of his game. The 31-year old is currently the leading run scorer of the season and is part of a select few to score more than one century in a single season. Lets take a look at all of Jos Butler IPL Centuries.
106 off 60 balls vs RCB in IPL Playoff qualifier 2 – 2022,
Jost Buttler hit the IPL 2022’s 4th century against RCB in IPL 2022 playoff’s qualifier match. Now, he also has the most centuries in a single season along with Virat Kohli. He shows amazing calibre on the ground and perform the way as expected. RR needed 158 runs to win the match but a major portion (106 runs) was contributed by Buttler himself.
11 off 65 balls vs Delhi Capitals (2022)
Jos Buttler, continuing his sterling form hit his fourth century of the IPL in the match against the Delhi Capitals in Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. This is Buttler’s third century of the season. He reached the three-figure mark with a deep mid-wicket flick in the 16th over of Khaleel Ahmad. Now Buttler with 3 centuries in this season is racing towards the record of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) ex skipper Virat Kohli. Kohli heads the list of Players hitting multiple centuries in a season. He hit four centuries in the 2016 edition. However, Buttler has surpassed Chris Gayle, Hashim Amla, Shane Watson and Shikhar Dhawan in that list who have hit two centuries each in different seasons of IPL.
100 off 68 balls vs Mumbai Indians (2022)
The first century of IPL 2022 and Butler’s second overall was against the Mumbai Indians. Striking at 147 Butler hammered five(5) sixes and eleven(11) fours en route to his 100. Playing at Navi Mumbai, the opener scored more than 50% of Rajasthan’s runs which saw them set a target of 194. In return the paltan were only able to manage 170 against the Rajasthan bowling line up.
103 of 61 balls vs Kolkata Knight Riders (2022)
Butler’s third hundred came against the Kolkata Knight Riders in match 30 of IPL 2022. In a closely fought contest between the two sides, Butler hit 103 of 61 balls propelling the Royals to another huge total of 217. His innings was filled with breathtaking shots as he hit five(5) sixes and nine(9) fours.
124 of 64 balls vs Sunrisers Hyderabad (2021)
Butler’s first century came against the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2021 season. The opener smashed eight(8) sixes and eleven(11) fours against the orange army in his innings of 124 runs. His dashing strokeplay guided the Royals to a massive 220 runs in 20 overs. In turn the Sunrisers were able to only score 165 in their quota of overs as Rajasthan won by a decisive 55 runs.
