39-year-old, Jhulan Goswami is all set to bid farewell to international cricket at Lord’s, proceeding the third and final ODI of the England tour, on the 24th of September. Jhulan Goswami is one of those female players who laid the early path for women’s cricket in India. Born in a middle-class family in the town of Chakdaha, West Bengal. Once Goswami achieves the 200 wicket landmark, an Indian postage stamp was issued in her honor, in April 2018.

Goswami is the highest wicket-taker in Women’s ODI cricket. In February 2018, she became the first female bowler to take 200 wickets in WODI-s. As she achieved this landmark against South Africa, dismissing Laura Wolvaardt. Further in the Women’s World Cup, her hunger for more, made her achieve the 250 wickets mark in the year 2022.
