BCCI recently announced the Women in Blue squad for ODI as well as T20, ahead of the upcoming tour to England. Women’s squad for England tour would like to clinch the series with their recently gained confidence.
Chakda Express back on track
The addition of veteran Indian player Jhulan Goswami to the ODI team is something to look for. Her addition would help in amplitude the team with experience and would fill the gap, as the leading pace baller.
Harmanpreet Kaur-led squad will tour England, beginning on September 10, and features 3 T20s and 3 ODIs. A great opportunity for our Women in Blue to showcase their talent after proving their caliber in the most recent edition of the Commonwealth Games, in Birmingham.
Jemimah Rodrigues’ performance in the Commonwealth Games was remarkable. However, there were some speculations about her addition to the squad due to her wrist injury. As now it appears that she is fit to play, we all hope to see her continuing the same form.
An inspiring new addition to the team
27-year-old Kiran Navgire, finally got her art acknowledged at the Seniors T20 domestic tournament conducted by BCCI, earlier this year. Hence, is given the opportunity to do the same at the international level. Attains a spot in the national squad for T20s for her commendable performance in the Women’s IPL.

While in the Commonwealth squad there was no room for the wicket-keeper batter, Richa Ghosh. She has now been added to the team. DDCA’s young player Simran Dil Bahadur regains her spot in the squad after being left out earlier.
