DC stay alive!! They have defended 130 against the chase masters of the IPL… What a bowling performance. Delhi Capitals scampered their way to 130 runs, after reeling at 23/5 at one stage. The Capitals had their backs against the wall and then fought hard resulting in stunning win over the table toppers. Delhi Capitals have won by 5 runs!
GT vs DC: GT need 52 off last 5!
52 runs were exactly the number of runs scored by Delhi Capitals in the last five overs. GT should be able to do it too! Titans are the master chasers of the IPL but Delhi are making them sweat. Some disciplined bowling has made it difficult for them to break the shackles. We are on for another thrilling finish as GT are 79/4 after 15 overs. DC need to knock over Hardik Pandya here to create chaos in the GT camp!

Abhinav Manohar smashes Axar Patel for a six taking him for 10 runs in the 10th over. This over has just released some pressure for the Titans. Kuldeep gets Miller!
Kuldeep Yadav strikes in his first over. You miss, I hit for Kuldeep. This was a tossed-up delivery on the middle stump and Miller shuffled across the crease in order to ramp but missed it. The Capitals are right back into the game putting Titans under pressure.
GT vs DC: DC get 3 wickets in the powerplay!
Ishant Sharma completely foxed Vijay Shankar on the last ball of the 5th over. A well-disguised knuckle ball has crashed into the middle stumps and Shankar has to depart. Hardik’s brisk innings is keeping GT afloat. Gujrat Titans are 31/3 after the powerplay. They need 100 runs from 84 balls. DC need to keep chipping away at the wickets to stay in the game
Gill gone!
Both openers are back in the hut. Gill drives a half-volley straight to cover. This was sent down on seventh stump and Gill opens the face to drive this toward point but it is spliced low to cover at knee height and the catch is taken lunging forward. GT are 18/2.
Saha departs!
Wriddhiman Saha is caught behind flirting with danger. This was pitched up well outside-off and Saha goes for a very lose drive playing it away from the body. He only manages to edge it behind to the keeper. DC start with a wicket maiden!
Impact Substitution
Both teams have called-on their impact players. Delhi Capitals rope in Khaleel Ahmed for Priyam Garg. Gujrat Titans have substituted Mohit Sharma for Shubman Gill. Both the impact players are in action straightaway. Gill opening the batting alongside Saha and Khaleel will bowl the first over.

From 28/5 at the end of the powerplay, to 130/8 at the end of 20 overs. DC have done well to recover but would know they have fallen way short of the par score. Mohammed Shami, who recorded the second-best bowling figures of the season, dented the DC innings early on with 4 big wickets in the powerplay. They bowled tight lines and didn’t allow DC to free their arms. Aman Khan got his maiden IPL fifty and took the attack to a flawless bowling unit and has given DC a chance to fight!
The target for Gujrat Titans is 131 runs from 120 balls. The chase should be a cakewalk given the form of their batters. DC would hope to strike early with the ball and make some inroads in this game. Can DC effect a twist in the tale and cause a upset? … or will GT get their fourth win on the bounce?
Mohit deceives Axar!
The 50-run partnership is broken as Axar departs after playing a cameo. Mohit Sharma bowls a slower delivery pitched at good length and on the off-stump. Axar Patel goes for the lofted shot but only manages to sky it. Rashid takes a good catch and DC are 78/6 after 15 overs. How many can they end up with from here?

A partnership is brewing between Axar Patel and Aman Khan. The partnership is now 31 off 30 balls. They are stabilizing things but they would have to keep an eye on the scoring rate. Gujrat Titans would look to close things out and restrict DC to the lowest possible total. DC are 54/5 after 10 overs.
GT vs DC: DC lose half-the-side in the powerplay!
Shami has bagged a 4-fer already. His figures thus far are – 3 overs, 7 runs, 4 wickets! DC have started in the worst possible way after batting first. The ball was swinging and Shami has done well to get it in the right areas. DC batters have poked at way too many balls outside the off-stumps. Axar Patel and Aman Hakim Khan are at the crease and would look to rebuild the innings from here which won’t be easy. Once Shami is done Rashid will come on to bowl, So no respite for DC! They are 28/5 after 6 overs.
Mohammed Shami is on a roll!
Shami strikes twice in the over. Saha has taken a wonderful catch diving to his right! A delivery on the fourth-stump line swinging away and Pandey drives with hard hands and gets a thick edge. The edge was flying away from Saha but he dived and ensured the ball lands in his gloves.
Three balls later he gets Priyam Garg caught behind. A full-delivery in the outside-off channel with very little swing. Garg pushes at it with no footwork and gets a leading edge straight to Saha’s gloves! DC lose half their side in the powerplay! They horror has turned into a nightmare!
Roussow gone!
An absolute beauty by Mohammed Shami! He bowls a classic test-match length delivery in the corridor of uncertainity and Roussow goes for a pokey defense. He catches a thick outside edge and Saha does the rest! Another horrifying powerplay for DC!
Warner run-out on a no-ball!
Priyam Garg has sold his skipper down the river. It’s getting bad to worse for DC. Garg flicks the ball to Rashid at short mid-wicket and calls for a quick single but bails out. Warner committed to the single and didn’t stop and by the he saw his partner bailing out, he was halfway down the track! Rashid runs to the stumps and effects the run-out! The delivery was later deemed a front foot no-ball! The sirens for the no ball went on with Warner walking back to the pavilion!
Salt gone first ball!
A horrid start for DC as Phill Salt is gone for a golden duck. A gentle full outswinging teaser outside off, Salt’s eyes lit up and he went for the blazing driving with minimal feet. He only manages to offer an easy catch to Miller. A successful first over for Titans, DC are 5/1

Gujarat Titans have been on the rise since the Kolkata Knight Riders stunned them at home. The defending champions have won four of their last five games, involving three away from home. They will now return to familiar ground in quest of their fourth consecutive victory.
After losing their first five games, DC seemed to be constructing a decent recovery. After winning two in a row, they were clearly favourites to make it three in a row. But a batting collapse resulted in a demoralising loss. DC will be relieved to have found its winning combination after winning two of its past three games.
