Pakistan Skipper Babar Azam scored Fastest 10,000 International runs by an Asian batsman. Babar Azam broke the Fastest record of Indian batsman Virat Kohli.
Babar Azam achieved this feat on Day 2 of the ongoing Srilanka vs Pakistan 1st Test Match. He became the 11th Pakistani batsman to achieve this feat. He achieved it in 228 innings. Babar Azam broke the record of Virat Kohli who scored it in 232 innings.

Even Babar tops the chart of Fastest 10,000 International Runs by an Asian. Sunil Gavaskar achieved it in 243 innings whereas Javed Miandad scored it in 248 innings. Former Indian Captain Sourav Ganguly scored 10,000 International runs in 253 innings. So Babar Azam even scored faster than Pakistani Legend Javed Miandad.
Babar Azam became the 5th Fastest batsman to achieve this feat. Azam achieved it in 228 innings. He is now only after Joe Root (222 innings), Brian Lara (220 innings), Hashim Amla (217 innings), and Vivian Richards (206 innings).
Vivian Richards tops the list of Fastest to international 10,000 runs. He had a fantastic career and he was one of the greatest in that era.

Babar Azam became the 11th Pakistani batsman to achieve this feat. He reached the milestone after Inzamam-ul-Haq, Younis Khan, Mohammad Yousuf, Javed Miandad, Saleem Malik, Saeed Anwar, Mohammad Hafeez, Shoaib Malik, Shahid Afridi, and Misbah-ul-Haq.

Babar Azam kept rising and shining and scored his 7th Test Century in the ongoing SL vs PAK 1st Test. Pakistani Skipper top scored with 119 in Pakistan’s 1st innings. He stitched a 70 runs partnership with Naseem Shah. Naseem Shah gave brilliant support from another end to Babar Azam. Pakistan was all out for a score of 222 in reply to Sri Lanka’s 218-10. Prabath Jayasuriya picked up his third consecutive 5-fer. Jayasuriya entered the list of the elite to pick three consecutive 5-fers. Sri Lanka finished on 36-1 with a lead of 40 runs.
