The West Indies players have had a special place in IPL ever since its inaugural season. From Chris Gayle to Keiron Pollard to Dwayne Bravo, IPL has made these Windies a common name in Indian households. The CSK all-rounder Dwayne Bravo achieved a big feat against LSG in their second match of the tournament. Surpassing Lasith Malinga, Bravo became the highest wicket-taker in IPL history. He scalped his 171st wicket in the tournament. His 171st victim was Lucknow Super Giants’ Deepak Hooda. However, CSK could not win the match. In the same match, MS Dhoni completed his 200 T20 catches. Moreover, this is the first time that CSK has lost both of their first 2 matches in the history of the IPL. The team’s performance was great. However, luck wasn’t with them tonight.
Dwayne Bravo has had an illustrious IPL career so far. In the first three seasons, he played for Mumbai Indians. However, Chennai Super Kings bought him at the IPL 2011 Auction. He has stayed with the franchise since then. In the Mega Auction 2022, he was picked by CSK for INR 4.40 crores. Bravo has picked a total of 171 wickets in IPL so far in 152 matches. Moreover, his economy has been 8.33 while his best bowling figure is 4/10. Meanwhile, he has been excellent with the bat as well. He has smashed 1537 runs at a strike rate of 130.25, hitting 120 fours and 65 sixes.
