Bangladesh have announced a T20I squad for the two-match series against Afghanistan. Bangladesh have brought back Afif Hossain and Ebadot Hossain into their T20I squad. There was no place for wicketkeeper-batter Jaker Ali who was in the squad for the Ireland series in March.
Afif last played T20Is against England in March. In 62 T20Is, he has scored 1020 runs at a strike rate of 120.28. He was also named in the ODI squad for the series against Afghanistan. Meanwhile, Ebadot wasn’t in the T20I side against England or Ireland. Ebadot last played in the T20 World Cup in November last year. He made his debut in this format during the Asia Cup in 2022. He has seven wickets in four T20Is. Earlier this week, he took 4-47 in the one-off Test against Afghanistan.
