The well-known Indian squash player Saurav Ghosal has climbed to a career-high position of World No. 10 since April 2019. Ghosal has a number of firsts to his name, including being the first Indian to hold the junior No. 1 ranking in the world and winning the title three years in a row in December 2006.

Saurav Ghosal is an Indian professional squash player from Kolkata, West Bengal. He was born on August 10th, 1986. He achieved a career-high world rating of No. 10 in April 2019. His zodiac sign is Leo. Saurav is one of the most dynamic squash players.

After graduating from high school, Saurav Ghosal moved to Chennai, India, where he joined the ICL Squash Academy and was coached by Major Maniam and Cyrus Poncha. He trains out together with Malcolm Willstrop at the West Yorkshire-based Pontefract Squash Club.

Achievements of Saurav

– Saurav made history in 2004 by winning the British Junior Open. He was the first Indian to do so.

– He defeated Gaurav Nandrajog at the 2006 National Championship in Delhi, becoming the “Indian National Champion.”

– After taking home a bronze medal from the 2006 Asian Games, Saurav was given the Arjuna Award by the Indian government in 2007.

– In the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou, China, he won two bronze medals in the men’s singles and team events.

– In 2013, in Manchester, England, he became the first Indian to advance to the quarterfinals of the World Squash Championship.

– He won a silver medal in the singles competition and a gold medal in the team competition at the 2014

– He won a bronze medal in the singles competition at the 2016 South Asian Games. The Asian Games were held in Incheon, South Korea.

– In the mixed doubles competition at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, Saurav won a silver medal.
