Indian boxer Jaismine Lamboriya competes in women’s 60 kg weightlifting competitions. She beat Indian boxer Parveen Hooda in a trial match to earn a spot in the Commonwealth Games 2022.

Professional career of Jaismine Lamboriya

She became interested in boxing while she was in school studying. She subsequently began her boxing training under the guidance of her paternal uncles, Parvinder Singh Lamboriya and Sandeep Lamboriya. She competed at the Commonwealth Games in 2006. Later, in Bhiwani, her paternal uncles founded the Lamboria Boxing Academy, where she entered the initial class. She competed in the Asian Boxing Championship in Dubai in 2021. She earned a bronze medal by outboxing a Mongolian boxer 4-1. At the 2021 Boxam International Boxing Tournament, she took home a silver medal. She tested positive for COVID-19 that year, and as a result, she struggled with her fitness and put on weight, going from 57 kg to 63 kg. In a conversation, remembering old tough day,   she said,

” I worked hard and lose weight from 63 kg to 60 kg. I had a lot of problems. For five to six months, I could not train properly. My Haemoglobin had dropped. It was a difficult period for me. But a year on, I am feeling fine and have no fitness issues.”

She fulfilled the qualifications to represent India at the Commonwealth Games in 2022. She plays with a southpaw stance and is coached by her paternal uncles Sandeep Lamboriya and Parvinder.
