Hyderabad: Lucknow Super Giants defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by five wickets at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. LSG now has two wins from three games while SRH has lost both games.
Sunrisers Hyderabad after being sent to bat first couldn’t get a grip on the situation. They failed to put runs on the board. The big guns Aiden Markram and Harry Brook departed in single digits leaving the team high and dry. Anmolpreet Singh and Rahul Tripathi managed to score 30+. A quick 21 off 10 balls by Abdul Samad helped the Orange Army cross 100 runs.

Chasing a low score, Lucknow Super Giants took their sweet time chasing the score. KL Rahul and Krunal Pandya played key slow knocks which eventually led to their win. Krunal Pandya was the star of the match with his all-around performance. He knocked 34 off 23 and took 3 for 18.
LSG has climbed to the top of the table with 4 points from 3 games. The Super Giants have a positive net run rate of 1.538. SRH, on the other hand, has sunk to the bottom. The 2016 champions have played miserably in both games and deserved nothing but a scintillating loss. They have won just once in the last nine games. Also, They have failed to qualify for the Playoffs in the last two seasons.
The Sunrisers will have to reassess their whole game before they head to their home to play Punjab Kings On Sunday. Meanwhile, Lucknow will play the Challengers who are looking for redemption at Chinnaswamy.
