Crucial match for both the teams! The 43rd match of IPL 2021, scheduled at Dubai International Stadium was between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals. On one side, RR hopes to move ahead of MI and PKBS, while RCB hopes to fix their position. So let’s have a glimpse of the match. RCB managed to restrict RR to 149 as the middle order of RR collapsed. RCB vs RR Man of the Match award: Great bowling efforts by RCB bowlers yielded positive results for the team. And the batters ensured the win as they chased the target easily.

To start with the match, RCB won the toss and decided to bowl first. Although the first few overs went quite rough for RCB bowlers, they bounced back after that. RR started well with 100 runs for 2 wickets in 11 overs. Evin Lewis smashed 58 off 37 and Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 31 off 22 to give a decent start.  Despite a good start, the middle order received a huge blow. The team tumbled to 149 for 9 from 112 for 2. Yuzvendra Chahal, Harshal Patel and other bowlers were just brilliant though Dan Christian and George Garton went expensive.

In the second innings, RCB performed brilliantly due to the team effort. Although RCB lost it’s two openers in consecutive overs, the middle order batters pulled off the game. Srikar Bharat and Maxwell built a good partnership stand to maintain the balance. While Srikar scored 44 off 35, Maxwell gave a glimpse of his quickfire knock of 50 off 30. Thereby RCB won the match by 7 wickets and 17 balls left. While RR bowling was a flop as the main bowlers went expensive. Chris Morris conceded 50 runs in his 4 over spell and Kartik conceded 23 runs in 2 overs. 

Man of the Match in RCB vs RR match

The Indian leg spinner bagged the Man of the Match award for his terrific bowling figures. Yuzvendra Chahal dismissed two strong batters and conceded just 18 runs in his 4 overs spell. The brilliant bowling efforts by RCB helped them to refrain RR from putting a big total on the board.
