Andrew Symonds cause of death: Former Australian cricketer dies in a car crash aged 46

Australian Cricket lost another of its star in a short time. Andrew Symonds, a former all-rounder has died in a car crash. The 46-year-old was driving late on Saturday Night. The cricket fraternity is left shocked after the untimely demise. ‘Roy’ as fellow teammates dearly knew him has been an essential part of the Australian side in the 2000s. Moreover, he has contributed heavily with the bat, ball, and on the field to Australia’s World Cup wins in 2003 and 2007. After Shane Warne and Rod Marsh, Australia lost another cricketer. He has played 26 Tests and 198 ODIs scoring 1462 and 5088 runs and picking 24 and 133 wickets respectively. Andrew Symonds is survived by his wife Laura and kids Billy and Chloe. The family demands privacy at this difficult time. Post-retirement, he was working as a commentator for sports broadcasters.

Andrew Symonds die in a car crash

Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash in Hervey Range, around 50 kilometres from Townsville that’s taken the life of a 46-year-old man last night. Early information indicates, shortly after 11pm the car was being driven on Hervey Range Road, near Alice River Bridge when it left the roadway and rolled. Emergency services attempted to revive the 46-year-old driver and sole occupant, however, he died of his injuries.

The cricketer passed away because of a road mishap. It was a single-vehicle crash that has cost him his life. Andrew was living in Townsville since he retired from cricket. It was only 50km outside Townsville that the accident took place, on Hervey Range Road. It was around 11 at night that the car had left the roadway. There were attempts to revive him. However, the legend succumbed to injuries.
