The summer of 2022 is all set to be way more exciting than ever as the IPL finally returns home. The BCCI has formally announced the schedule of the 15th edition of IPL. Overall, 70 league matches will be played across 4 international standard venues in Maharashtra. IPL 16 will be a more magnificent affair as two new franchises join the 8 regular teams in their quest to the coveted IPL title. The RPS Group-owned Lucknow Super Giants are one of the two teams that will make its IPL debut this summer.
A star-studded side led by the swashbuckling KL Rahul are seen as strong contenders for the title after their blockbuster performance at the auctions. The Lucknow camp will also be graced by the presence of 2 times IPL winning skipper Gautam Gambhir in his new role as a mentor.
