Jason Holder, for his brilliant bowling in the first innings, was adjudged as the Man of the Match in West Indies vs England 1st T20I. Jason Holder was just unplayable with his lines and lengths. He scalped 4 wickets and dismantled the batting lineup of England. He not even bowled his full quota of overs. Holder conceded just 7 runs at a brilliant economy of 1.9. Having won the toss and decided to bowl first, West Indies went all guns blazing, drawing first blood in the very first over with the big wicket of Jason Roy. The rest of the match was a poor batting show from the English batters and brilliant bowling from the windies. Moeen Ali, England’s experienced campaigner, departed for a 1st ball duck. The English captain, Eoin Morgan made 17 runs off 29 balls. Some important runs came from the lower middle order, Chris Jordan(28 from 23) and Adil Rashid(22 from 18), helping the visiting side to cross 100 runs, giving a target of just 104 runs.
Jason Holder was the standout bowler from the West Indies. In 3.4 overs, he conceded just 7 runs and took 4 wickets at an average of 1.9. Pretty brilliant in the shortest format of the game.

With not much target on the board, West Indies started the chase with Brandon King and Shai Hope. Brandon King went on to make a brilliant 52 from 49 balls, Shai Hope departed on 20 runs and Nicholas Pooran added 27 runs to complete an easy run chase and to sail past England for a 9-wicket win and to lead the 5 match series, 1-0.
