The oldest player in cricket- Played till the age of 66
Cricket has been blessed with so many legendary players and their fascinating stories. Anecdotes from the Great Sunil Gavaskar, Ravi Shashtri sharing his experiences in his boisterous way, Tony Greig and David Lloyd, we have so many stories and we love to listen to them from these gentlemen again and again. But, Do you know about the oldest player in cricket who played till the age of 66?
It did happen way back in 1942 on 25th July. WG Grace played for Eltham at the age of 66 and scored 69 not out.
Sadly he died the next year, though he has left his legacy to this wonderful game.
