Rafael Nadal becomes the first man to win 400 ATP-1000 matches

On Monday, Rafael Nadal won his 400th ATP Masters 1000 match, defeating Dan Evans at the BNP Paribas Open to widen his lead over the field. Since the Masters 1000 series began in 1990, the 21-time Grand Slam winner has been the first player to win 400 matches. With his third-round victory at Indian Wells, he is currently 19 victories ahead of his great adversary Roger Federer. Novak Djokovic is seven triumphs behind him whilst Andy Murray is at the fourth position with 219 victories.

His first win came against Karol Kucera in the Principality. Afterwards, he went on to win two more matches until falling in the final 16 against Guillermo Coria.
