Evert lavished praise on the Pole and pointed out that she doesn't yell at people and despite that, she makes them listen to her.

Iga Swiatek is soft-spoken and despite this quality, when she speaks, people listen to her, believes former World No.1, Chris Evert. Evert lavished praise on the Pole and pointed out that she doesn’t yell at people and despite that, she makes them listen to her.

She’s a leader that doesn’t yell at the top of a mountain,” Evert said in an interview with TIME magazine. “Yet when Iga speaks, people will listen,” the 18-time Grand Slam champion added. Also Read: Andy Murray Out Of Madrid Open In Round 1

The 21-time doubles Grand Slam champion Pam Shriver also agreed with Evert’s description of Swiatek. Shriver, while praising Swiatek’s movement and mental toughness on court said the 21-year-old is more of an old-school tennis player.

You can’t find anyone who moves better, who’s been mentally tougher in the last 14 months than Iga,” Shriver said. “She’s a little bit of a throwback, old-school No.1 player.” Also Read: Andy Murray vs Andrea Vavassori Match prediction, head-to-head, preview, and live stream | Barcelona Open
